Around Town: November 2021 Edition

As we welcome the start of the holiday season this month, check out these events happening near our communities:

Start the holiday season early this year by coming out to the Light Up the Night event. Experience the first night of lights in Downtown Monroe while enjoying live music and local shopping on November 4^th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Another bright event happening in Monroe this month is the 4^th annual Bikes, Trikes, Magical Lights Parade. Come out on November 18^th at 6:00 pm to welcome another year of Christmas lights being displayed in Childers Park for the holiday season by pedaling through the park with your best light display.

The City of Winder will host the Daughters of the Revolution's (DAR) Veterans Day ceremony at Watson Hall on November 13^th at 11:00 am to honor our nation's veterans. In addition to honoring all veterans, the DAR will be presenting the three Quilts of Valor and holding a flag retirement ceremony.

On November 20^th, from 8:30 am -2:00 pm, the Barrow County Farmers Market will be hosting a festival to thank the community for another great farmers market season. Come out to find holiday gift inspirations from local vendors.
